Terms of the Deal for HPE and Juniper

HPE and Juniper have settled with the US Justice Department over HPE’s proposed $14 billion acquisition of Juniper. The merger can go through, but it comes with two conditions. The first is HPE and Juniper must license Juniper’s AI Ops for Mist source code to at least one third party.

The second is HPE has to divest its Instant On campus network business, which includes campus switches, APs, and secure gateways. Instant ON is aimed at SMBs.
